Digivite Privacy Policy

Digital · District · Discover

Effective date: 28 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Digivite ("Digivite", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and handles information when you use the Digivite mobile application. Digivite is a digital social and event-based news platform where users can discover and publish local news, events, announcements, and other category-based content.

1. Eligibility and Age

Digivite is intended for users aged 13 years and above. Users under the age of 13 should not create an account or use the service.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect or process the following information:

3. Account and Authentication

Account information is used to create, manage, authenticate, and secure user accounts. Users may sign in using supported identifiers such as email address, username, or user ID. Passwords are handled through the application's authentication system and are not displayed publicly to other users.

4. Location Information

Location access is optional. When a user chooses to use the location feature, Digivite may obtain and save latitude and longitude to support location-based or nearby content experiences. Users can use the basic app and publish posts without providing GPS location.

Profile details such as country, state, district, PIN code, block, and village/town may come from account or profile information and can be manually entered or changed by the user. A "News Location" entered while creating a post is a manually provided description of where the news or event relates to and is not the user's GPS location.

5. User-Generated Posts and Content

Digivite allows users to create and publish content. A post may include a category, subcategory, description, optional headline, optional manually entered news location, and optional image. GPS location is not required to publish a post.

Content submitted by users may be stored and processed as necessary to operate the service, display posts, and provide related app features. Users are responsible for the content they choose to submit or publish.

6. Profile Images

Profile image uploading is not an active feature in the current version of Digivite. If this feature is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy may be updated to explain how profile images are handled.

7. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through Digivite to:

8. Permissions

Digivite does not require location access for basic use. Location is used only when the user chooses to use a location-related feature. Where an optional post image is selected, the app may use the device's available image-selection functionality to allow the user to choose an image.

9. Free, Promotional, and Future Paid Features

Some promotional or premium-type features may be offered free during an introductory period. Certain promotional or premium services may become paid in the future. The current version does not collect payment card or bank information through an active payment feature. If payment functionality is introduced, this Privacy Policy may be updated as appropriate.

10. Data Sharing and Public Content

Information that a user intentionally publishes as part of a post may be visible to other users of Digivite. Users should avoid publishing personal or sensitive information that they do not want others to see.

We do not sell users' personal information. Information may be processed by service providers used to operate Digivite, such as backend, authentication, storage, or infrastructure services, where necessary to provide the service.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled through Digivite. However, no internet-based service or electronic storage method can guarantee absolute security.

12. Account Deletion and Data Deletion

Users can delete their Digivite account using the account deletion feature in the app. When a user deletes their account, the account and associated personal data are permanently deleted from Digivite's backend systems and are not retained by Digivite.

Users may also log out of their account and may update editable profile information through the available account or profile features.

13. Children's Privacy

Digivite is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create accounts. If we become aware that information from a child under 13 has been collected through an account, appropriate steps will be taken to delete the account and associated information.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Digivite's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will show a revised effective date. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
